Burningwater

Burningwater, the ninth layer of the Abyss, is nothing more than an endless ocean of acid. First discovered by Omar al-Djibou, a marid since deceased due to his exposure to this layer, this realm was interdicted by the Guvners almost immediately following its recording. Few tanar'ri dwell here, as most are affected by acid as any being, and it is unknown if any being claims rulership of this layer. The only confirmed inhabitants are stone-shelled creatures resembling twisted versions of lobsters, shellfish, and armored fish.
