Venom (Ex): On a successful bite attack, the aeserpent inflicts its victim with a painful venom. The victim must pass a DC 16 Fortitude save. If they pass, the venom has no effect, and they can no longer be afflicted by this aeserpent's venom for the next 24 hours. If they fail, their metabolism shifts and their body begins to internally consume its own blood. Every round while afflicted, they take 2d6 damage from internal hemorrhaging; spells and effects that end bleed damage have no effect on this venom, as the victim is not losing blood but rapidly breaking it down for sustenance. If the victim is swallowed by an aeserpent while under the effect of this ability, damage suffered from venom each round is doubled. The save DC is Constitution-based.
Each round after the venom takes effect, they may make another DC 16 Fortitude save after taking damage; passing this save ends the effect of the venom immediately, and the victim cannot be afflicted again by this aeserpent's venom for the next 24 hours. This ability is considered a poison with respect to all spells and effects.
